Associate Account Manager - BC

Reports To: VP National Inside Sales

   

 

Position Summary:

Reporting to the VP National Inside Sales, the Associate Account Manager is responsible for supporting sales regions to achieve loan volume and revenue targets.

Key responsibilities include preparing and submitting new and renewing premium finance loans under a pre-defined volume threshold, following up on renewals, submitting loans for conversion, assisting with credit and pricing requests and providing excellent customer service to brokers via phone and email.

 

 

 Location: BC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare incoming quote requests
  • Proactively perform follow-up on renewal and lost quotes from the prior year
  • Assist with loan submissions; ensure loans are properly submitted for conversion
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers representing FIRST Insurance Funding of Canada in a professional manner.
  • Provide customer service and assistance to brokers calling in and emailing with inquiries
  • Identify and manage existing high priority brokers
  • Manage overall pricing margins and broker profitability
  • Analyze broker profitability to help determine broker’s segment
  • Apply the appropriate credit risk and pricing analysis when assisting with underwriting requests
  • Provide brokers with training on systems and processes as required
  • Escalate new business opportunities, programs and solutions to the Account Manager for further investigation
  • Support arrears where there may be possible relationship impacts
  • Support new business development activity
  • Undertake periodic visits to brokers’ offices
  • Other job related duties as assigned

Training/ Education/ Experience Qualifications: (Include licenses and certifications)

  • University/college degree is preferred
  • 3-5 years business experience
  • Commercial credit experience an asset
  • Understanding of commercial insurance policies an asset
  • Experience with insurance brokering network an asset
