Bilingual Account Manager

Reports To: Inside Sales Team Lead

   

 

Position Summary:

The Bilingual Account Manager will be developing and maintaining strong and profitable relationships with insurance brokers within an assigned territory in order to achieve sales targets. He/she will be accountable for retaining loan renewals, securing new business opportunities, and training brokers on FIRST’s systems and procedures. Work with the Relationship Managers to effectively retain and grow the broker base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare premium finance quotes, using creativity and good judgment to provide the client with the best possible loan terms and pricing while minimizing the risk and maximizing returns to FIRST
  • Manage a pipeline of premium finance quotes by diligently following up with brokers to secure new and renewal business
  • Solicit new business from brokers via warm calling
  • Build strong relationships with brokers over the phone, representing FIRST Insurance Funding of Canada in a professional manner
  • Train brokers to use FIRST’s online platform for both loan quoting and submission of loans
  • Educate assigned brokers on FIRST services, credit policies and processes while working closely with assigned underwriting team to increase quality of business, approval and funding ratios
  • Work closely with the territory Relationship Manager to review territory performance and develop strategies to optimize broker relationships and grow loan volumes and revenues
  • Occasionally accompany the territory Relationship Manager to broker-facing meetings
  • Provide a high level of customer service and assistance to both brokers and clients calling in with inquiries
  • Build internal working relationships with FIRST staff and provide assistance to Sales, Marketing, Credit, Operations and Collection personnel as needed.

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written in French and English

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)

 

 

Traning/ Education/ Experience Qualifications:(Include licenses and certifications)

  • University/college degree is preferred
  • Fully Bilingual in written and verbal
  • 3-5 years business experience, preferably in an Inside Sales or Account Management role
  • Commercial credit experience and asset
  • Understanding of commercial insurance policies an asset
